CBA IRL – Lethal Enforcers II

I’ve got a bunch of CBA IRL things I’ve been meaning to post, so I’m going to try to get caught up with some of these.

Here we’ve got my copy of Lethal Enforcers II: Gun Fighters for Sega CD, along with the Justifier… and the pink Justifier! You see, on the Lethal Enforcers games, if you wanted two players, you couldn’t just plug in two of the regular Justifiers (the blue ones), you needed one blue Justifier (which plugged into the game system) and one pink Justifier (which plugged into the blue Justifier). Because of this odd setup, the pink ones are kind of hard to find.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the pink Justifier back in the day – I actually received it as a Christmas gift about ten years ago. I’m still pretty happy to have it, though!

CBA IRL – GoBots

My childhood GoBots are currently packed away (but hopefully not for long, because I recently acquired ample shelf space on which to display more stuff!), but I have this one proudly on display in my office, so wanted to share with you:

Believe it or not, I found this GoBot – still in its original package – at Goodwill in the ’90s… for 25¢! This is still one of my all-time favorite thrift store finds!

Check out my post for Challenge Of The GoBots here and my post for GoBots by Monogram Models here.

CBA IRL – PSA FTW!

Sorry, loyal readers, but I’ve been having some technical problems this week, and am unable to access my cache of ad scans – hopefully it’ll be resolved by next week. However, this gives me a reason to finally post a CBA IRL installment that I’ve been meaning to show you for months now!

Remember that anti-molestation PSA with Spider-Man and the Power Pack that I posted a while back? And how I mused that I’d love to find a copy of the actual comic in a bargain bin someday? WELL GUESS WHAT I FOUND IN THE QUARTER BIN!!!

Yes! I actually found a copy of the comic! And because I’m such a dork, this was actually one of the most exciting comic finds of my life (second only to finding a New Mutants #98 at Goodwill – yes, really!), mostly because I never imagined I would actually find it since it’s so obscure!

The content isn’t really anything too spectacular (as expected), but I’m still pretty excited about my nerdy find!

CBA IRL – Iron Sword

So a buddy came over with a bunch of NES games, and check out what one of them was – Iron Sword: Wizards & Warriors II!

Fabio looks just as fabulous here as he does in the ad!

CBA IRL – QuickShot

Lookie what I found in a local thrift shop last week – a QuickShot controller, featured in this ad from 1989 that I posted a while back!

I’m guessing that the $3.99 that Savers was asking for this is considerably less than it cost back in the day.

One thing I like about actually finding this is that I can see details not discernible in the ad, like “FOR PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS” printed just under the logo. Well, I’ve never been paid to play video games, so I guess I’m not qualified to use this controller. 😦
